Hello!

Our names are Zoe and Vlad Trestian.

For the last 10 years we have been organizing and leading tours (both groups and individuals) in Eastern Europe, mainly in Bulgaria and Romania, our home countries. Throughout this time, we have worked with well known companies such as Grand Circle Travel and Balkan Holidays.

Setting up Balkan Trails came up as a natural result of both our experience as tour leaders/guides and the passion we have for our countries. Also, after interacting with hundreds of travelers, we feel that a carefully organized and tailored private tour is the best way to explore this part of the world.

Our tours are led by ourselves or by carefully selected guides/drivers, and bring you closer to the culture of the Balkans in all of its aspects, such as history, art, architecture, cuisine and of course, local people, their everyday life and stories.
